Found myself quite moved today as I watched the news and listening to the names of the victims being read out at the site of the two towers. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the news first came through.
Its a shame more people over here don't remember the debts Europe owes the USA though. Personally I've been ashamed of some of the outragous anti US sentiments made by Danish politicians.
This country was only free these last seven decades because of the USA. If it hadn't been for the Americans, and to some degree the British too, we'd have been just another province of the USSR. That means a lot to me since I'd never have been born if Denmark hadn't been liberated.
