Alexander Biune
23 year old Konstabel Alexander Biune was killed yesterday morning by an explosion in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was from Charlie Company of the Jydske Dragoon Regiment.
Biune joined the military in February 2010, and he leaves behind his parents, his girl friend and his two younger sisters. Commander of the Danish Battle Group Col. Jens Riis, wrote in his memorial;
"Alexander was a proud example of a soldier, with all the qualities we in the Danish Battle Group desire in all our soldiers. He was eager to do his best and demonstrated a will to make things work as best as possible, to help other people and to excell in all he did. There are none better".
