Today was Denmark's first game of the tournament and I have to say it was something of a disapointment. After a rather pedestrian first half, we managed to put the ball in our own goal and upon this horror our chaps seemed to go into some kind of shock. If the Dutch had been as dangerous as their reputation makes out, we'd have suffered the same kind of humiliation as the poor Australians, but all their skill amounted to was one goal scored on their own account, and that when the Danes were all but dead in the water.
The commentators reflected on the hard South African heat as a contributing factor, but the Dutch live in the north too and they're hardly used to weather much better than ours. We lost fair and square.
Alas.
