A stubborn and complete intolerance of any belief or opinion that differs from my own.

Todays song is 'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next' by the Manic Street Preachers, and seeing whats going on in Iran these days, all I can say is, Hell Yeah!

The Maracot Deep
By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

This one has plenty of promise, but it fails to deliver, which is probably why I'd never heard of it before I went over Conan Doyle's bibliography. The story regards three gentlemen who descend into the depths of the Atlantic ocean and find the sunken city of Atlantis, and then have a spiritual encounter, beat a man who has become a devil and return to the surface as hero's. Its unintentionally funny in some parts (the cube shaped diving bell is amusing) but for the most, its badly written and poorly thought through.

Devil in a Blue Dress
Dir: Carl Franklin

A very nicely made film, Devil in a Blue Dress has all the right noir ambience, a good plot and some nice acting. Its a good few years old now but its got that timeless feel to it that works so well. Kinda like 'Mulholland Falls', and 'LA Confidential'. Washington delivers his usual studied brilliance and Cheadle is the hot spice that turns up the heat as the plot runs ever faster. I liked this film so much that I have added Walter Mosely to my list of must C20 crime authors. If the book is anywhere as good as the film then its going to be excellent.

...and then theres Lisa Nicole Carson whose smile-and-cleavage combination make perdition seem like a credible proposition.

Crank 2 - High Voltage
Dir: Mark Neveldine & Brian Taylor

Mindless violence at its best, this film is just as funny and over the top as its predessesor, and thats all about there is to say about it. Disconnect your disbelief and wallow in the absurdity of it.

Fuck You Chelios! LMAO

...and then, when I was thinking it couldn't get any better there was Julanne Chidi Hill. Just watching her walk down the street made my day!
