blog update

As is obvious, I've updated my blog to a new template. I decided it was time, now that the latest version of blogger has some of the things I've wanted since I first started the blog, most of all, the dark transparent back drop to the posts which allows the cog image to mesh with the blog, and just the fact that the blog is now easier for visitors to navigate. That was always the idea but I could never figure out the html code before. In upgrading I have lost some information for the time being and the many html changes I had made over the years were wiped clean. Luckily blogger stores the templates as a back up so I should be able to restructure the blog with time. Currently I'm trying to figure out how to centralize the title image though.

There are other differences which I don't care for but have accepted, at least for the time being. I can't arrange or group the links in the side menu's in any way other than alphabetically. Perhaps there is a way to do this in the html code but given how impenetrable the current code is, compared to the old code, I'm not holding my breath!

The current template looks very nice.

Its darker of course, and I was taught to always chose white over black for the presentation of imagery, but the darker ambience suits me better.

I really wish I was better at reading html though.

It's dark, but everything is very legible, and your layout isn't rough on the eyes.

(Just back.)
I like the overall look, but on my 1920 x 1200 screen (with a large but not full screen browser window), your background picture doesn't tile vertically.
I get a nice dark image for most of the screen, and about 200 pixels of bright blue across the bottom.
I'll share screenshots later, if you like.
