Another Danish soldier was killed in Afghanistan on Sunday, 9th January. Konstabel Samuel Enig of the Royal Life Guards was killed by an IED west of Patrol Base Line, approx 6km north east of Gereskh. May he rest in peace, and may his family find solace in the thought that his life was not in vain.

According to Jannie he was a musician also and leaves a young wife and child behind.
no samuel had a wife but no children... he wasnøt a musician but had dedicated his life to the royal army in denmark.. i miss him a lot! ;(
I suppose there is some comfort to be had in that there is no child left without a father, but its still a terrible, lamentable loss for his family and friends.
I hope all the sacrifice Denmark has made for Afghanistan is not going to be in vain!
