Save me John Barry!

Alone and ill all week end (Mette & kids are visiting her mother), I had a couple of freak accidents this morning which leave me in need of some serious cheering up. First, I woke up with a splitting head ache... Thats not an accident I know, but I'm just setting the stage for the main act. Having been some what fevered since friday evening, I woke up this morning with a lot of tension in my neck. I slept too long and I suspect I lay too long in the same position too. I stumbled about the empty apartment feeling sorry for myself and rubbing my eyes. This was a mistake. Rubbing my right eye socket with the heel of my right hand, I walked my right elbow into the door frame resulting in my giving myself a hard blow to the head, and consequently snapping my neck backward.

Somewhat dazed and feeling rather dejected I staggered to my desk to sit and feel sorry for myself. Alas, the chair upon which I sat, collapsed under me. The front legs slid forward and the rest of the chair slid backward. I fell forward and cracked my chin on the edge of my desk whilst simultaneously the back of the chair hit me on the back of the head.

Sitting on the floor, in the ruin of my chair, with my head throbbing, and my eyes blurred I started to wonder if I was in a David Lynch film! No one is here to pity me, so theres only one thing for it. Music to salve the soul and take me away to some other place where reality doesn't matter any more! ...that and two TREO's*

* TREO is a brand of water soluble headache pills sold in Denmark.

Aww...my sweet, Danish friend. I'll pity you from afar. It's no fun to be under the weather, especially when you're all alone. I hope the TREOs help, and I also hope that Mette returns to you swiftly.

Its really late here because I forgot that the clocks went forward, but I'm calling in sick tomorrow anyway.

Mette comes home tomorrow.
I can't wait for that first kiss.

Can you send her here then? As a penance for contaminating me with the same illness;-) Though having to play our entire side alone yesterday was probably atonement enough. I also suspect that it would not help me, her cousin though...

Oh well.

Sorry to be unable to play yesterday and I am glad you are better. Hope to emulate that very soon, for it is my father's birthday on monday where we meet and eat my mum's gule ærter, drink snaps and beer, etc...
