Freja and Kristoffer

Todays post was written by Mette. Allison is a friend of ours from the USA.

Today, Allison and Kristoffer came by and we all four went to the børnenes jord which is a local area set aside for children (and now threatened with closure due to the council budget). Most of the local kindergartens are now on strike and after three months of looking after Kristoffer, Allison is going out of her mind whilst she is eight months pregnant and in some discomfort (I don't know how to translate bækken løsning, but its something uncomfortable that happens to pregnent women as they get bigger). We went to the play-ground and ran around like puppies make funny noises. Sometimes it sounds like they have their own language. They make strange noises and look at each other and it appears as though they're talking to each other. They know what they are saying even if the grown ups don't. The play-ground can be a bit scary sometimes, but it only took Freja a few minutes to work up the courage to crawl through the tunnel as you can see on the pictures. She is totally fearless compared to most children. I wonder where she gets it from...?
